First and foremost, yes, I am the mother of 5 amazing sons. And as of next year they will all be teenagers. Yes, I color my hair or I'm sure it would all be white by now. Part of what makes my parenting successful is my partner in all of this, my fantastic husband of 24 years.
I am a Colorado native, and I've never skied. I know...you can't believe it. My desk faces West and I look out over the Rocky Mountains as I work each day. You just can't beat it. And because we love the mountains so much, we own some land smack dab in the middle of the state. It's such a beautiful area, and you can't beat waking up to the scenery.
When I'm not talking about parenting online, or actually doing it, I'm a full-time author and publisher. I love the freedom my work gives me to make my family a priority. I do a lot of juggling, that much is true. I change how I do things all the time. I call it rolling with it!
By trade I'm a cosmetologist. I opened my first salon when I was just twenty years old. I'm a huge believer in network marketing, and I've done plenty of them. I loved it so much that in 2004 I opened my own online, network marketing company. I ran it until I opened my publishing house and the rest is history.
I love to share my stories about raising kids with others. Sometimes I come up with some really great ideas that help people. We travel often as a family of seven. I have a lot of travel tips that might help those wondering how to do it with a big, or even smaller, family. I'm a self-proclaimed Disneyland expert. By that, I mean I've been there a number of times, traveling from Colorado, with all 5 kids and hubby in tow. We know the ins and outs to make a vacations successful.
One thing I'm trying to overcome this year is my camera shyness. So, I'm going to post a few pictures and try not to wince. I know their not bad, I just have a bad attitude about it. You'll see I quite enjoy the Snapchat filter.
I hope you enjoyed meeting me. Please send me your suggestions for things you'd like to see on the blog.
